The location is great, and the staff were wonderful, but be prepared to not have an ocean front view. Even though 100% of the photos for my reserved suite showed an ocean view, we were placed in a dark unit facing the hill in the back (in my email confirmation, there was very fine print, warning that rooms are not guaranteed). On top of that, the mattress was worse than those thin, springy mattresses that come in pull-out couches, and the sitting room furniture was extremely uncomfortable. Basically, you get what you pay for. It’s budget, from the scratchy toilet paper and paper towels to the painfully uncomfortable furniture.

SurfSide Inn was a great place to stay. Room was very spacious and the patio was great. Beach across the street was awesome. We would definitely stay there again.

Very friendly staff. Rooms are dated but clean and maintained. Beds are very comfortable. Lots of amenities- heated pool, hot tub, beach chairs and toys, bbq, patio, pool table. Great location not far from Dana Point. The beach across the highway is very walkable. It is a bit more rocky but very scenic and a short walk from more sandy options.

Very noisy,not all staff was friendly,very over priced and a funny order in the hallway,there’s has to be a better way to run this place especially when it a timeshare unit,not for me so I will not stay here ever or recommend it to anyone

We always look forward to our week at Capistrano Surf & Sand. We find fall and early spring to be a great time as it is less crowded at nearby beaches and general attractions

Capistrano Surfside Inn is one of the best choices for a beachfront stay. Its excellent location provides easy access to the beach, offering guests a unique experience of relaxation and nature. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. They come with all the necessary amenities, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff provides outstanding service, and their friendly and professional attitude makes the stay even more enjoyable. They go above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience. Overall, if you’re looking for a comfortable, peaceful stay near the ocean, Capistrano Surfside Inn is a fantastic choice!
